LIVATO PRODUCT WARRANTY TERMS & CONDITIONS

Livato provides a limited warranty for eligible products purchased through authorized Livato sales channels. This warranty is subject to the terms, conditions, exclusions, and limitations described below.

1. Warranty Coverage

Livato warrants that the product will be free from manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship during the applicable warranty period stated on the product listing, invoice, warranty card, or other official purchase documentation.

During the warranty period, Livato may, at its sole discretion, inspect, repair, replace defective components, or replace the product where the defect is determined to be covered under this warranty.

The warranty applies only to manufacturing defects and does not cover damage or failure resulting from misuse, accident, improper installation, external conditions, unauthorized modification, or other causes outside normal intended use.

2. Warranty Period

The applicable warranty period shall be as specifically mentioned on the product listing, invoice, warranty card, or other official Livato documentation.

The warranty period begins from the date of purchase/invoice unless otherwise specifically stated by Livato.

Warranty claims may require valid proof of purchase, including the original invoice, order details, serial number, or other purchase information.

3. What Is Not Covered Under Warranty

The warranty does NOT cover defects, damage, malfunction, or failure caused by any of the following:

A. Accidental and Physical Damage

  • Accidental damage, drops, falls, impacts, collisions, or crushing.

  • Cracks, dents, scratches, broken body parts, damaged ports, damaged lenses, or damaged connectors.

  • Damage caused during transportation after delivery to the customer.

  • Damage caused by improper handling, packing, installation, relocation, or storage.

  • Damage caused by misuse, negligence, abuse, or careless operation.

  • Damage caused by placing heavy objects on the product or applying excessive force to any component.

B. Water, Liquid and Moisture Damage

  • Water damage or liquid spills of any kind.

  • Damage caused by rain, flooding, leakage, condensation, excessive humidity, or moisture.

  • Damage caused by beverages, chemicals, cleaning liquids, oils, or other liquids entering the product.

  • Corrosion, rust, or oxidation of internal or external components caused by moisture or liquid exposure.

Projectors are electronic devices and should be operated in a dry and suitable indoor environment unless the product is specifically designed for outdoor or moisture-resistant use.

C. Electrical and Voltage Damage

The warranty does not cover damage caused by:

  • High voltage or low voltage.

  • Voltage fluctuations, electrical surges, spikes, or unstable power supply.

  • Short circuits, electrical faults, or improper electrical connections.

  • Lightning, electrical storms, power surges, or other electrical disturbances.

  • Use with an incompatible power adapter, power supply, inverter, generator, UPS, or other electrical equipment.

  • Incorrect voltage, frequency, polarity, or power source.

  • Damage caused by faulty household wiring, extension boards, power strips, or sockets.

Customers are advised to use the original or Livato-approved power adapter and a suitable surge-protected power source.

D. Overheating and Ventilation

The warranty does not cover damage caused by:

  • Overheating due to blocked or restricted ventilation.

  • Operating the projector inside enclosed spaces without adequate ventilation.

  • Covering ventilation openings during operation.

  • Placing the projector on beds, sofas, carpets, blankets, or other surfaces that obstruct airflow.

  • Continuous operation beyond recommended usage conditions where such use causes overheating or component failure.

  • Excessive ambient temperature or operation outside the recommended environmental conditions.

  • Failure caused by accumulated dust blocking ventilation, cooling fans, heat sinks, filters, or other cooling components.

Adequate airflow and ventilation must always be maintained while operating the projector.

E. Dust and Foreign Material

The warranty does not cover:

  • Dust accumulation inside the projector.

  • Dust on or inside the optical system, lens, LCD/display panel, cooling system, or other internal components where such accumulation results from environmental conditions or improper usage.

  • Damage caused by insects, dirt, debris, smoke, ash, or other foreign materials entering the product.

  • Damage caused by operating the projector in excessively dusty, smoky, greasy, or unsuitable environments.

F. Unauthorized Opening, Repair or Modification

The warranty will be void or may be denied where the product has been:

  • Opened, dismantled, disassembled, or tampered with by the customer or any unauthorized person.

  • Repaired, modified, altered, or serviced by an unauthorized technician or service center.

  • Modified using non-original or incompatible components.

  • Subjected to soldering, wiring changes, hardware modifications, or other unauthorized alterations.

  • Damaged due to attempted self-repair or troubleshooting involving internal components.

Removal, alteration, or damage to serial numbers, warranty labels, security seals, or identification labels may also result in rejection of the warranty claim.

G. Lens, Optical and Display Components

The warranty does not cover damage caused by:

  • Scratches, cracks, physical damage, or improper cleaning of the projection lens.

  • Damage caused by touching, pressing, rubbing, or cleaning the optical components incorrectly.

  • Damage caused by exposure to direct sunlight or intense external light sources.

  • Damage caused by improper mounting or installation.

  • Optical contamination caused by dust, smoke, moisture, or unsuitable environmental conditions.

Minor variations in brightness, color, focus, uniformity, or image quality that fall within normal manufacturing tolerances may not be considered manufacturing defects.

H. Lamp, LED and Normal Component Wear

Components that naturally deteriorate or wear with use may have a limited useful life and may not be covered where the issue results from normal usage rather than a manufacturing defect.

This may include:

  • LED/light source degradation.

  • Reduction in brightness over time.

  • Fan wear or fan noise resulting from normal use.

  • Internal dust accumulation.

  • Remote-control batteries.

  • Cables, adapters, connectors, and other accessories subject to normal wear.

  • Consumable or replaceable components, unless specifically covered by the applicable warranty.

The expected life of a light source is an estimated operating-life specification and does not constitute a guarantee that the component will operate for the entire stated period under every usage condition.

I. Software, Firmware and Applications

The warranty does not cover problems caused by:

  • Installation of unauthorized software or applications.

  • Third-party applications.

  • Modified firmware or operating systems.

  • Rooting, unlocking, flashing, or unauthorized software modification.

  • Malware, viruses, corrupted files, or incompatible applications.

  • Changes to third-party streaming services or applications.

  • Internet connection problems or Wi-Fi/network issues caused by the customer’s network, router, ISP, or external service providers.

  • Changes, discontinuation, or incompatibility of third-party applications or online services.

Software-related issues may be subject to troubleshooting, reset, firmware update, or other technical support rather than hardware replacement.

J. Accessories and External Devices

Unless specifically stated otherwise, warranty coverage may not apply to normal wear, accidental damage, or misuse of:

  • Remote controls.

  • HDMI/AV/USB cables.

  • Power cables and adapters.

  • Batteries.

  • External speakers.

  • TV sticks, streaming devices, or other third-party devices.

  • External storage devices.

  • Other complimentary or promotional accessories.

Damage caused to the projector by incompatible external devices, cables, adapters, or accessories is not covered.

  • Use of incompatible brackets or mounting systems.

  • Incorrect electrical connections.

  • Failure to follow the user manual or installation instructions.

  • Scratches.

  • Minor marks.

  • Discoloration.

  • Surface wear.

  • Fading.

  • The customer provides false, incomplete, or manipulated information regarding the warranty claim.

  • The product has been used for purposes for which it was not designed.

  • The product has been subjected to abuse, negligence, accident, liquid exposure, electrical damage, or other excluded conditions.

5. Warranty Claim and Inspection

The customer may be required to provide:

  • Original purchase invoice or order details.

  • Product serial number.

  • Photographs or videos showing the reported issue.

  • Product packaging or accessories where reasonably required.

  • Additional information necessary to diagnose the issue.

Livato reserves the right to determine whether a reported issue is the result of a manufacturing defect or an excluded cause.

A product being submitted for warranty service does not automatically mean that the claim will be approved.

6. Repair or Replacement

If a manufacturing defect is confirmed during the applicable warranty period, Livato may, at its discretion:

  • Repair the defective component.

  • Replace the defective component.

  • Replace the product with the same or an equivalent model, subject to availability.

Replacement products or components may be new, refurbished, or equivalent in performance where permitted by applicable law.

If the same model is unavailable, Livato may provide an equivalent product or an alternative resolution at its discretion.

7. Data and User Content

Customers are responsible for backing up any personal data, files, applications, account information, settings, or other content stored on the product before submitting it for service.

Livato shall not be responsible for loss, deletion, corruption, or alteration of user data, applications, settings, or other content during repair, replacement, reset, or software troubleshooting.

8. Shipping and Service

Where applicable, the customer may be responsible for safely packing the product for transportation or sending the product to the designated service location, subject to Livato’s applicable service and warranty process.

The product must be packed adequately to prevent additional damage during transportation.

Damage caused by inadequate packaging or transportation arranged by the customer may not be covered under warranty.

9. Warranty Does Not Guarantee Uninterrupted Operation

Warranty coverage does not guarantee that the product will operate continuously or without interruption.

Temporary malfunction, software issues, network issues, third-party application issues, or external environmental/electrical conditions do not automatically constitute a manufacturing defect.

10. Limitation of Warranty

This warranty applies only to defects covered under the applicable warranty terms.

Livato shall not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from product failure, including loss of business, loss of revenue, loss of data, inconvenience, or other consequential damages, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude or restrict any consumer rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded or restricted under applicable law.

11. Final Warranty Assessment

The final determination regarding whether a particular failure is covered by warranty will be made after technical inspection and diagnosis by Livato or its authorized service personnel.

If inspection determines that the issue is caused by an excluded condition, the warranty claim may be rejected and applicable inspection, repair, replacement, transportation, or service charges may be payable by the customer.

12. Acceptance of Warranty Terms

By purchasing, registering, or using a Livato product, the customer acknowledges that they have read and understood these warranty terms and agrees to comply with the applicable conditions.

These warranty terms should be read together with the product-specific warranty information provided with the product, invoice, product listing, warranty card, and applicable user manual.

Livato reserves the right to update or modify these warranty terms from time to time, subject to applicable law.
